American Silver Buffalo 1 oz
The American Silver Buffalo pays tribute to Native Americans. On the front of the 1 ounce silver coin, an Indian head is shown in profile - including feather headdress. The motif was designed in 1913 by the sculptor James Earle Fraser (November 4, 1876 - October 11, 1953). Fraser was one of the most famous American sculptors of the first half of the 20th century. The reverse of the American Buffalo in silver, on which a majestic North American buffalo is depicted, can also be traced back to Fraser. A buffalo named "Black Diamond", who lived in the Central Park Zoo in New York around 1900, is said to have inspired the sculptor. (Fig. Symbol image) With the American Buffalo you buy 1 ounce of freshly minted silver from the USA in the fineness .999. Weight and fineness are stamped on the back of the American Silver Buffalo. Please note that the Silver Buffalo has no face value and comes unencapsulated on the market.
